Fits the space you have
Treadmills and rowers that fold, bikes on wheels, benches that stand upright against a wall. Folded dimensions are on the page.
Cardio machines, strength kit and the accessories that go with them, for training at home instead of paying to train somewhere else. Delivered across the UK.
Most homes do not have a spare room to turn into a gym. What they have is a corner of a bedroom, one wall of a garage, or the floor in front of the television. The equipment has to fit that, not the other way round.
Treadmills and rowers that fold, bikes on wheels, benches that stand upright against a wall. Folded dimensions are on the page.
It arrives boxed, you build it, and it is yours. No membership, no joining fee, no peak hours.
Weight limits, speeds and dimensions on this site are the manufacturer's published figures. Where nothing is published, the page says so rather than filling the gap.
Every product page names the measurement that decides whether it fits, because that is the number people forget and the reason things go back.
Freestanding racks, adhesive fixings and units that lift straight out. Plenty here leaves with you and takes nothing off the walls.
Stainless steel in the shower, resin outdoors, powder coated steel in the garage. Materials picked for the room they live in.
Three groups: things that get your heart going, things that make you stronger, and the kit that fills the gaps.
Home Fitness UK sells home gym equipment across the UK. This is the short version of what we have learned selling it: what makes a machine get used rather than stored, which type suits which goal, and the measurements that decide whether it fits.
The single best predictor of whether a machine earns its money is whether it is ready to step onto. Anything that has to be dragged out, unfolded and plugged in before a session gets used for a fortnight and then becomes furniture.
So the honest first question is not which machine is best, it is how much floor you can give up permanently. If the answer is none, buy accessories rather than a machine: bands, a mat and a kettlebell in a cupboard beat a treadmill you have to move.
More equipment goes back for being the wrong size than for being poor quality. For cardio machines it is usually two numbers: the running or pedalling footprint in use, and the folded size for storage. Both are on our product pages where the manufacturer publishes them.
Ceiling height catches people out with treadmills, because you stand on a deck that is already 10 to 20 cm off the floor. Measure your height plus the deck, then check the room. The same applies to anything with a raised platform.
Cardio machines, treadmills, bikes, rowers, cross trainers and steppers, take the most space and give you the most direct swap for a gym membership. Rowers and cross trainers work more of the body at once; bikes and steppers are the easiest to fit into a small room and the quietest in a flat.
Strength kit takes less floor but wants somewhere to put the weight down. Adjustable dumbbells replace a rack and are the usual starting point. A bench widens what you can do with them more than any single machine does.
A maximum user weight is a manufacturer's figure for normal use, not a stress rating and not a promise about jumping, dropping or leaning on the frame at an angle. We publish the figure the manufacturer publishes, and where none is published we say so rather than estimating one.
If you are near a stated limit, ask us before ordering rather than after. We would rather answer than take a return.
This decides more purchases in flats than price does. Magnetic resistance is quiet; fan resistance is not, and an air bike is genuinely loud. Anything with impact wants a mat under it, both for the floor and for the room below.
A mat is the cheapest thing on this site and it is the one most likely to stop an argument.
